background Traffic Generation Control tool
The main goal of NTGC
is to generate
realistic network traffic to be used with DDOS and worm defense evaluations.
The generated traffic should statistically
represent real network traffic.
To do this, we parameterize traffic attributes from real traffic trace
and
create traffic based on these parameters. NTGC can extract flow-level
traffic
parameters from pre-captured trace data, and then convert these
parameters into
configuration files for low-level traffic generators such as TG and
D-ITG.
