The Derrick Pallas

My name is Derrick Pallas. I am a knight of the Order Telperion. In March 2006, I became a Master of Science. About the same time, I became an Alexian. If you are interested in a job, feel free to contact me.

As a scholastic, I worked for the University of California at Davis as a Graduate Student Researcher in the Computer Science Department's Software Systems Research Lab with Premkumar Devanbu and Zhendong Su. I worked on a couple of things, mostly studying the static analysis of reflection as it manifests in Java bytecode. Some class projects included: hacking the Linux virtual file system drivers for added security; using machine learning to genetically teach robots to chase each other and follow driving courses; creating a quick way to transfer electronic goods between parties that don't trust each other, do trust a broker, but aren't sure if they're really talking to the broker; a distributed web services farm; and other cool stuff. In my spare time, I had something to do with the DARPA Grand Challenge and Team Aggie Spirit. If you are interested in graduate studies, the City of Davis isn't a bad place to be.

This is not my webpage. This is. Or this.
