This site has some very nice updated maps that are
extrapolations of real data sources (buoys and land-based weather stations).
It is an excellent source for viewing the predominant winds and whether the Catalina
eddy is present.
-
- Miramar Soundings Plot
- A nice graphical view of the Mirmar soundings
-
- NOAA's Forecast System Laboratory (FSL) Soundings Plot

by entering the appropriate METARS(airport codes) listed on the NWS San
Diego County Observation Map or entering a lon./lat.

- Regional Winds Aloft and Soaring Forecast
