-------------------------- Latest Updates:

154A Updates (May 23, 2003)

I have uploaded the discussion topics for today. Please note the hex references and the corresponding binary values. Each digit corresponds to a 4-bit binary number. Ex 15 is 00010101, not 00001111.

Have a wonderful three day weekend.

Free Ice Cream Days (April 29, 2003)

Free ice cream at Ben & Jerry's on 4/29 from noon-8pm

Free ice cream at Baskin Robbins on 4/30 from 6-10pm

New Redhat Linux version (April 17, 2003)
Redhat Linux is now at version 9. Visit Redhat or LinuxISO.org to download the latest ISOs and use Nero or other burning software to burn them to CDs. Or try other flavors of Linux/UNIX, like Debian, FreeBSD, Mandrake. Remember they're all free.

More 154A Updates (April 17, 2003)
I uploaded a new page for 154A. This is where discussion topics will be placed. Problem 4.30 is up in a PDF file. Tomorrow's discussion will be about lab 2.

The signup sheet for lab 2 will be outside 071 EUII Friday morning. Interactive grading will begin April 24 and will be in 15 minute sessions. Please sign up for a time slot as soon as possible.

Lab Confusion (April 4, 2003)
I may have said the wrong thing in discussion. Regarding interactive grading if one partner shows up and the other does not, the one that shows up will be graded and the other will receive a zero. There are no regrades for noshows. This contrasts what the webpage says that both people must be present. Sorry for the confusion.

A Few Reminders (April 3, 2003)

Remember that daylight savings begins this Sunday at 2am. Remember to set your clock one hour ahead Saturday night. We lose one hour of sleep but our day will get "longer."

Also if you need to file your taxes, remember that the deadline is Tuesday, April 15. Many post offices will be open until midnight, but don't wait until the last minute. If you qualify, you can e-file for free. Not only will you save time and stamps, you can even get your refund faster. Visit http://www.taxfreedom.com/ for more information.

154A OH Setup (April 2, 2003)
Updated the 154A TA Page to include my OH. Please look at the class newsgroup for classroom changes for discussion. There will be discussion this week on Friday to demo MaxPlus II.

Site Updates (March 26, 2003)
Remodified the homepage to include general updates. Updated the tables to improve readability (I hope). Fixed links page and added new items to other things page.
